بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
ٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ
Al-Fatiha 1:1–2
Word note
ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ Captured in class — mercy shown to all, believer and not.
Ayah note
From today's tafsir video — praise before petition. The etiquette of du'a.
Surah note
Prepping Friday's halaqah: seven ayat, recited in every raka'ah.
The problem we're solving
Taking notes on the Quran is unreasonably hard.
You're watching a tafsir lecture or sitting in class. The teacher drops a gem on a word. By the time you've found the ayah, copied the Arabic, formatted the translation and opened a fresh page — they're three verses ahead. We built Tafsir Notebook to delete that entire workflow.
Without Tafsir Notebook
Copy, paste, reformat, repeat.
- ✗Open the Quran app, find the ayah, copy the Arabic
- ✗Paste it into Notes or Docs (formatting breaks)
- ✗Retype or paste the translation underneath
- ✗Write your note below — hope you can find it later
- ✗Repeat for every ayah. Repeat every session.
With Tafsir Notebook
Click. Type. Done.
- ✓Open the surah
- ✓Click the word, ayah or surah
- ✓Type your note
- ✓Saved, attached to the verse, searchable forever
How it works
Three clicks between thought and saved note
What people are saying
From students, journallers and teachers.
“
I used to lose so many gems from tafsir class — by the time I'd copied the ayah, the teacher had moved on. This fixed that completely.

“
I do tadabbur after Fajr most mornings. Having my reflections attached to the actual ayah, not buried in a notes app, has changed how I read.

“
Prepping lessons used to take me an hour of copy-pasting. Now I go through the surah, type my notes on the ayat, export a PDF. Done in half the time.
